praṇavādyantamadhyasthaṃ homānte ca vidhīyate
caturviṃśativarṇāni japet pārāyaṇe manuḥ
[The recitation] with the praṇava (Oṃ) at the beginning, end, and middle is prescribed at the conclusion of the fire offering. / For the complete recitation, the mantra has twenty-four syllables to be recited.
