ekānna mapyavirodhe vratānāṃ prathamāśramī
bhuktvā gurumupāsīta kṛtvā sandhukṣaṇādikam
Even food from a single house may be eaten by one in the first stage of life if it does not conflict with his vows;
having eaten, he should attend upon the preceptor, having performed the kindling of the fire and other duties.
