nānāvarṇāsu bhāryāsu savarṇā sahacāriṇī
dharmyā dharmeṣu dharmiṣṭhā jyeṣṭhā tasya svajātiṣu
Among wives of various social classes, the one of the same class is his companion in rites,
conforming to socio-religious duty in duties, the most devoted to duty, and senior among those of her own class.
