mātāpitṛṣu yaddadyād bhrātṛṣu śvaśureṣu ca
jāyāpatyeṣu yaddadyāt so'nantaḥ svargasaṃkramaḥ
What one gives to mother and father, to brothers, to father-in-law, / and what one gives to wife and children—that is an endless passage to heaven.
