Vaiṣṇava Dharmaśāstra 11.12

vyavahārābhiśasto 'yaṃ mānuṣaḥ śuddhim icchati
tad enaṃ saṃśayād asmād dharmatas trātum arhasi //
'This man being arraigned in a cause, desires to be cleared from guilt. Therefore mayest thou deliver him lawfully from this perplexity.'
