brāhmaṇānāṃ prasādena divi tiṣṭhanti devatāḥ
brāhmaṇābhihitaṃ vākyaṃ na mithyā jāyate kvacit //

It is by the favour of the Brâhmanas that the gods reside in heaven; a speech uttered by Brâhmanas (whether a curse or a benediction) never fails to come true.
