dṛṣṭvā lokam anākrandaṃ mriyamāṇāṃś ca bāndhavān
dharmam ekaṃ sahāyārthaṃ varayadhvaṃ sadā narāḥ //
Having seen that no help is to be had from this world, and that his relations are dying (one after the other), you must choose virtue for your only associate, O ye men.
