dravyavat kṛtaśaucānāṃ devatārcānāṃ bhūyaḥ pratiṣṭhāpanena ||
Images of gods (if smeared), by cleansing them in the same way as the material (of which they are made is generally cleansed), and then installing them anew (in their former place).
