aṣṭau grāsān pratidivasaṃ māsam aśnīyāt sa yaticāndrāyaṇaḥ ||
If a man eats for a month eight mouthfuls a day, it is (the penance called) Yatikândrâyana (an hermit's Kândrâyana).
