Vaiṣṇava Dharmaśāstra 67.31

yathā varṇānāṃ brāhmaṇaḥ prabhur yathā strīṇāṃ bhartā tathā gṛhasthasyātithiḥ ||
As the Brâhmanas are lords over all other castes, and as a husband is lord over his wives, a guest is the lord of a householder.
