aghaṃ sa kevalaṃ bhuṅkte yaḥ pacaty ātmakāraṇāt
yajñaśiṣṭāśanaṃ hy etat satām annaṃ vidhīyate //
He who cooks food for himself only, cats nothing but sin: for that alone is considered as fit food for the virtuous, which is left, after the (customary) oblations have been offered.
