vṛṣo hi bhagavān dharmaś catuṣpādaḥ prakīrtitaḥ
vṛṇomi tam ahaṃ bhaktyā sa me rakṣatu sarvataḥ //
'Holy law is a bull and is declared to have four feet: him I choose for the object of my worship; may he protect me wholly.
