aputrāyāṃ mṛtāyāṃ tu patiḥ kuryāt sapiṇḍatām |
śvaśrvādibhiḥ sahaivāsyāḥ sapiṇḍīkaraṇaṃ bhavet ||
iti |
"When a woman dies childless, the husband should perform the sapinda-relationship; / Her sapīṇḍīkaraṇa should take place only together with the mother-in-law and the rest."
