dārāgnihotrasaṃyogaṃ yaḥ karoty agraje sthite |
parivettā sa vijñeyaḥ parivittis tu pūrvajaḥ ||
iti | (MDh 3.171)

"One who enters into union with a wife or the agnihotra while the elder brother remains [unmarried], / he is to be known as a parivettā, whereas the elder brother is a parivitti."
