nimantrayeta pūrvedyur brāhmaṇān ātmavāñ śuciḥ |
taiś cāpi saṃyatair bhāvyaṃ manovākkāyakarmabhiḥ ||

He should invite the Brahmins on the preceding day, self-controlled and pure; / and they too must be restrained in deeds of mind, speech, and body.
