vyatīpāto gajacchāyā grahaṇaṃ candrasūryayoḥ |
śrāddhaṃ prati ruciś caiva śrāddhakālāḥ prakīrtitāḥ ||
the Vyatīpāta yoga, the "elephant's shadow", an eclipse of the moon or the sun, / and an inclination towards a śrāddha: these are declared the times for a śrāddha.
