pāṇiprakṣālanaṃ dattvā viṣṭarārthaṃ kuśān api |
āvāhayed anujñāto viśvedevāsa ity ṛcā ||

Having given water for washing the hands, and kuśa-grass for a seat-cushion (viṣṭara),
he should invoke [them], being permitted, with the verse "May the Viśvedevas...".
