yavair anvavakīryātha bhājane sapavitrake |
śaṃ no devyā payaḥ kṣiptvā yavo 'sīti yavāṃs tathā ||

Then, having scattered barley-grains around, [pouring] water into a vessel with a strainer of kuśa-grass (sapavitraka)
with the verse "May the goddess [be auspicious] to us...", and likewise barley-grains with "You are barley...",
