yady ekajātā bahavaḥ pṛthakkṣetrāḥ prthagjanāḥ |
ekapiṇḍāḥ pṛthakśaucāḥ piṇḍas tv āvartate triṣu ||
"If many are born of one man in different wombs, or born of different women, / they are of the same piṇḍa, [yet] of different purifications; but the piṇḍa reverts at the third [generation]."
