ity uktvā caratāṃ dharmaṃ saha yā dīyate 'rthine |
sa kāyaḥ pāvayet tajjaḥ ṣaṭ ṣaḍ vaṃsyān sahātmanā ||
When she is given to a suitor after saying, 'May the two of you practice duty together,' / that is the Kāya (Prājāpatya) marriage; the son born of it purifies six and six relatives along with himself.
