nāśaucaṃ nodakaṃ nāśru na dāhādyantyakarma ca |
brahmadaṇḍahatānāṃ ca na kuryāt kaṭadhāraṇam ||
"No ritual defilement, no water, no tears, and no cremation or other final rites;
and for those struck by the Brahmin's rod, one should not perform the carrying on a bier."
