The body is assembled—constructed—in five ways through the seeds of past actions produced by one's own body in previous births, for the purpose of experiencing their fruits, by way of consisting of the five gross elements, earth and the rest. If that [body], upon the cessation of the experience of fruits, has dissolved into the five—has once again attained the condition of earth and the like—then to what purpose is your lamentation over that? Mourning should not be done because it serves no purpose, since such is the reality of things. For the reality of things can never be overcome by anyone. // 3.9
