bubhukṣitas tryahaṃ sthitvā dhānyam abrāhmaṇād dharet |
pratigṛhya tad ākhyeyam abhiyuktena dharmataḥ ||
Having remained hungry for three days, he may take grain from a non-Brahmin; / having taken it, when accused, he must explain it according to righteousness.
