aṣṭakāsu ca vṛddhau ca gayāyāṃ mṛtavāsare
atra mātuḥ pṛthak śrāddhamanyatra patinā saha
On the Aṣṭakā days, during a rite for prosperity, at Gayā, and on the anniversary of death, / an ancestral rite is performed here separately for the mother; elsewhere, it is together with the husband.
