vyāsa uvāca
śukādyaiḥ śṛṇu sūta tvaṃ vaśiṣṭho māṃ yathābravīt(5) /
brahmasāraṃ hi pṛcchantaṃ munibhiś ca parātparam //
Vyāsa said:
O Sūta, listen, together with Śuka and the rest, to how Vasiṣṭha spoke to me,
as I and the sages questioned him about the essence of Brahman, the highest of the high.
