chedādutpāṭanādvāpi tathā prākāralakṣaṇāt /
sīmāyā dviguṇatyāgād bedhadoṣo na jāyate //

by cutting or uprooting, or by the characteristic of an enclosure wall;
by leaving a space twice the boundary, the defect of obstruction does not arise.
