ekādaśaśatāyāmāḥ pādapā giriketavaḥ /
jambūdvīpeti sañjñā syāt phalaṃ jambā gajopamaṃ //

These trees, the banners of the mountains, are eleven hundred [yojanas] in height; / from this comes the name Jambūdvīpa; the fruit of the jambu is like an elephant;
