santarpya devapitrādīn śrāddhakṛt piṇḍado bhavet /
divyāntarīkṣabhaumasthān(4) devān santarpayāmyahaṃ //
Having satisfied the gods, ancestors, and others, the performer of the ancestral rite should offer rice-balls: / 'I satisfy the gods residing in heaven, the atmosphere, and on earth.
