gayāyāmāgataḥ svargaṃ yāntu me pitaro 'khilāḥ /
śrāddhaṃ piṇḍantataḥ kṛtvā sūryaṃ natvā vadedidaṃ //
Having come to Gayā, may all my ancestors go to heaven.' / Then, having performed the ancestral rite and offered rice-balls, he should bow to the Sun and recite this:
