audumvare vā khaḍge vā parṇapātre pradakṣiṇam /
devānāmapasavyaṃ tu pitṝṇāṃ savyamācaret //
or in one of udumbara wood, rhinoceros horn, or leaves, from left to right; / he should perform [the rites] for the gods with the sacred thread on the left, but for the ancestors on the right.
