kirātā yavanāścāpi brāhmaṇādyāś ca madhyataḥ /
vedasmṛtimukhā nadyaḥ pāripātrodbhavās tathā //

dwell the Kirātas; [to the west] the Yavanas; and in the center are the Brahmins and others. / The rivers beginning with the Vedasmṛti originate from the Pāripātra;
