lokālokastu tamasāvṛto 'thāṇḍakaṭāhataḥ /
bhūmiḥ sāṇḍakaṭāhena pañcāśatkoṭivistarā(8) //
Lokāloka is enveloped in darkness up to the caldron of the Cosmic Egg. / Including the caldron of the Cosmic Egg, the earth extends fifty crore [yojanas].
