harī remenekamūrto rukmiṇyādibhirīśvaraḥ /
putrānutpādayāmāsa tvasaṃkhyātān sa yādavān /
harivaṃśaṃ paṭhet yaḥ sa prāptakāmo hariṃ vrajet //
Thus in the venerable and primordial Mahāpurāṇa composed by Agni, the twelfth chapter, entitled 'The Description of the Harivaṃśa'.
