vārivahnyanilākāśaistato bhūtādinā vahiḥ /
vṛtaṃ daśaguṇair aṇḍaṃ bhūtādirmahatā tathā //
The egg is enveloped from outside by water, fire, wind, and ether, then by ego (bhūtādi), / each ten times greater; likewise, the ego by the intellect (mahat).
