rakāraṃ dakṣabhāge tu hakāraṃ vāyave likhet /
pratipadādau kakārādīn sakāraṃ nairṛte punaḥ //
One should write the letter *ra* in the right portion, and the letter *ha* in the northwest;
beginning with the first lunar day, [the letters] beginning with *ka*, and again the letter *sa* in the southwest.
