akāro vyakta utpanno bhogamokṣapradaḥ paraḥ(1) /
akāra aiśvare bhūmirnivṛttiś ca kalā smṛtā //

The manifested letter A arose, supreme, granting worldly enjoyment and liberation. / In the sovereignty of the letter A, the earth and the kalā Nivṛtti are remembered;
