īśvara uvāca
ṣaṭtriṃśatpadasaṃsthānāmoṣadhīnāṃ vade phalaṃ /
amarīkaraṇaṃ nṛṇāṃ brahmarudrendrasevitaṃ //
The Lord said:
I shall state the fruit of the herbs situated in the thirty-six squares,
which makes mortals immortal, worshipped by Brahmā, Rudra, and Indra:
