puṣkara uvāca
dharmamāśramiṇāṃ vakṣye bhuktimuktipradaṃ śṛṇu /
ṣoḍaśartuniśā strīṇāmādyastisrastu garhitāḥ //
Puṣkara said: / I shall state the duty of those in the life stages, which bestows worldly enjoyment and liberation; listen. / The fertile period of women consists of sixteen nights; the first three are censured.
