garbhāttu dvādaśe vaiśye ṣoḍaśābdādito na hi /
muñjānāṃ valkalānāntu kramānmaujjyāḥ prakīrtitāḥ //
in the twelfth from conception for a vaiśya; never beyond the sixteenth year. / The girdles are declared to be made of muñja grass, bark fibers, [and wool] respectively.
