snātā strī pañcame yogyā daive pitrye ca karmaṇi /
pañcāpāne daśaikasminnubhayoḥ sapta mṛttikāḥ //
having bathed on the fifth day, the woman is fit for rites to the gods and ancestors. / Five [applications of] clay to the anus, ten to the left hand, and seven to both hands [are prescribed].
