śrāddhaṃ kuryācca pratyabdaṃ prete kumbhānnamabdakaṃ /
gaṅgāyāḥ sikatā dhārā yathā varṣati vāsave //
He should perform the ancestral rite every year, and for a full year provide a pot of water and food for the deceased.
