jātadantasya vā kāryā syādupanayanāddaśa /
ekāhācchuddhyate vipro yo 'gnivedasamanvitaḥ //
Or it should be performed for one whose teeth have erupted; up to the sacred thread ceremony, it is ten [days].
A Brahmin who is endowed with the sacred fires and the Veda is purified in one day.
