guṇotkarṣe daśāhāptau tryahamekāhakaṃ tryahe /
ekāhāptau sadyaḥ śaucaṃ sarvatraivaṃ samūhayet //
Where ten days apply, through excellence of virtues it is three days; where three days apply, it is one day;
where one day applies, it becomes immediate purity; one should deduce similarly everywhere.
