gaṅgātoye narasyāsthi yāvattāvaddivi sthatiḥ /
ātmanastyāgināṃ nāsti patitānāṃ tathā kriyā //
For as long as a person's bone remains in the water of the Gaṅgā, so long is their stay in heaven. / For those who commit suicide and those who have fallen, there are no rites.
