tṛtīyamāyuṣo bhāgamekākī vā sabhāryakaḥ /
grīṣme pañcatapā nityaṃ varṣāsvabhrāvikāśikaḥ //

[He should spend] the third part of his life alone or with his wife; / in summer, constantly practicing the five fires penance; in the rainy season, exposed to the rain from the clouds;
