annamādāya tṛptāḥ stha śeṣaṃ caivānnamasya ca /
tadannaṃ vikired bhūmau dadyāccāpaḥ sakṛt sakṛt //
Taking the food, [he asks,] "Are you satisfied?" and [they reply,] "Let the remainder of the food be his." / He should scatter that food on the ground and offer water once each time.
