ekoddiṣṭaṃ daivahīnamekārghaikapavitrakaṃ /
āvāhanāgnaukaraṇarahitaṃ hy apasavyavat //
The rite for a single ancestor is devoid of the rite for the gods, has a single water offering and a single purifier, / is without invocation and the offering into fire, and is performed with the sacred thread over the right shoulder.
