rajakasya nṛśaṃsasya vandinaḥ kitavasya ca /
mithyātapasvinaś caiva cauradaṇḍikayos tathā(2) //

nor of a washerman, nor of a cruel person, nor of a bard, nor of a gambler, / nor indeed of a false ascetic, nor of a thief, nor of a rod-bearer [policeman];
