apa eva sasarjādau tāsu vīryamavāsṛjat(4) /
āpo nārā iti proktā āpo vai narasūnavaḥ //
created the waters first of all, and cast his potency into them.
The waters are called nārāḥ, for the waters are indeed the sons of Nara.
