mlecchair gatānāṃ caurair vā kāntāre vā pravāsināṃ /
bhakṣyābhakṣyaviśuddhyarthaṃ(1) teṣāṃ vakṣyāminiṣkṛtiṃ //
For those taken by barbarians (mlecchas) or thieves, or dwelling abroad in the wilderness, / I shall proclaim an expiation for the purification of edible and inedible things.
